Creating a song from a moment, an idea, a word, an experience, a vision is a fascinating almost indescribable process. The germination of Wonder is the Pilot came about from a first glance. " I was having dinner with a group of about 8 people at a restaurant in NYC. I looked over to my left and there, at a deuce, were two gals having dinner, a girls night out. They were both dressed to the nines; little black dresses, bare legs, heels, appropriate jewelry, beautiful hair - attractive feminine perfection. One of the gals got up and walked to the ladies room. She smiled without looking up knowing I was watching her. When she returned to her seat, she looked at me, crossed her legs and smiled. I never got her name. I never got her number. I never went out with her. What I did do was go home that night and write Wonder is the Pilot. It took me only 45 minutes, lyrics with melody. The least amount of time I ever spent to compose a song. "
